Emma and Lily the book launch in Sheffield

This week Emma and I published our latest book ULTRA WOMEN: The Trailblazers Defying Sexism in Sport. It has been a long process to get this book published.

When we first started talking to publishers in February 2022 we were told that niche sports books about women don’t do very well because men don’t buy them. This obviously made us even more determined to prove the marketers wrong! We knew we had a good idea and that the market needed more sports books about women.

So in today’s premium newsletter we are going to explain how we pitched the book and how we went from rejection to publication.
