From zero to 303.313km in under a year: how Hong Kong entrepreneur Vriko Kwok went Further than she had ever been | South China Morning Post

When we think of sports journalism the image that often comes to mind is football match reports or commentary on the Olympics. But sports reporting covers a great range of story types. There are some fascinating human interest stories in sport and exercise, as well as lots of discussion about technology, sustainability and health. Sport and fitness intersects with all areas of life so it is a goldmine of cracking stories. And whilst staff reporters tend to cover elite sport there is an unlimited source of recreational sport stories out there as well as new research being published all the time.

This week in the premium newsletter we are sharing two emails - one to a sports editor and the other to a fitness editor. Each email contained multiple story ideas, of which five were commissioned.

Read on to see the pitches in full and the responses from the editors.
