One of the questions we get asked most frequently is where do I sign up for press releases. How do I make sure PRs know about me? Our advice is be careful what you wish for as experienced journalists spend a vast amount of time unsubscribing from irrelevant emails.

But we get your point and particularly when you are starting out, it can be helpful to receive press releases in the speciality you write about and it can lead to more personal and productive relationships with PRs.

So in this week’s premium newsletter we set out the databases you might want to consider if you’re looking to get more press releases in your inbox.

Behind the byline

Just before we do we wanted to flag up a FREE event we are holding on 26th November with Women in Journalism committee member Donna Ferguson to discuss our newly released Freelance Guidance for Editors, which advocates for fairer treatment and improved working conditions. The event will also explain more about the Freelance Journalism Survey of the working lives of freelance journalists.
