I love to crunch numbers and work out percentages. I find it’s a really useful way of visualising my earnings and seeing exactly what my key income streams are. So this week I sat down and looked at my freelance income from the tax year 2024-25. And I was quite surprised by what I found.

In the past most of my revenue has come from print newspapers and specialist magazines but there has been a big shift this year due to a variety of industry, and personal, changes.
