Time for a self-appraisal

Reflecting on the past year and setting goals for the future

Hello! We are trying something different in the newsletter today. We have a video for you where we demonstrate how to do a freelance appraisal. When you don’t have a boss it can be difficult to assess your perform and set yourself goals. Doing a self-appraisal is a really useful task to ensure you don’t get stuck in a rut.

Watch the video to see how Lily and Emma conducted their annual appraisal and let us know how you get on with your own appraisals!

These are the questions we used to guide the appraisal:

• What did you most enjoy in the last year and what did you least enjoy?

• What new thing did you do that you want to do more of?

• Is there anything you would like to stop doing?

• What is the first priority for back to work in September?

• How will you make sure you get a good work-life balance?

• What are your top three goals for 2024/25?

These are the previous appraisals that we conducted in 2021 and 2022:
